I seldom explain concepts after the fact. That’s because I try to present them clearly the first time.

But today, for Poker1’s “Daily selection,” I featured a link to one of my favorite Poker1 entries, called “Hold ’em — Never raising in the small blind.” (You can visit it, by clicking on the title.) And immediately it occurred to me that trouble threatened.

I’d just been in deep controversy, trying to explain to a poker journalist that I hadn’t advocated never raising in the small blind. That’s “hadn’t,” as in “had not.” To learn about that dispute, just → Go there.

Addendum

So, I read this latest “Daily selection” carefully. It seemed to say everything I wanted it to say. But, I decided an addendum at the bottom was in order, to head-off the erroneous attacks from amateur analysts on various poker forums who either don’t read carefully or deliberately choose to misinterpret my stuff to gain credit among peers.

I’m writing this “Added fast” entry mostly as a means of reminding myself in the coming years that I was unhappy about having to create an addendum to a P1 entry that, in my mind, was crystal clear. Nothing more.
